[ good thing crow’s here then. he does indeed come find her, but he does not disturb her and mostly seems more focused on just doing whatever he has to do and go.

I guess it’ll work just like back home? … The worst that can happen is I look stupid.
[ assuming she still has her eyes closed, there’ll be a pause, like a moment of silence. and then catra will feel… better? not miraculously so, any major injuries will still be kicking around, but they’ll feel a little better overall. any scrapes or bruises or minor injuries will just feel like they were never there.
[her eyes are closed, so she doesn't see him as he approaches! but her ears flick forward when he mutters to himself, picking up on that noise. though before she can move to greet him. . .]
[her smaller bruises and cuts cease to ache, with the most notable difference being the throb in her ribs. she finds herself able to breathe more easily without pain, although deep breathes and coughing will probably still hurt. her arm is still broken-- obviously, whatever Crow did wouldn't heal that-- and the gunshot wound in her leg is still there, but. . . everything is much less. immediate? she doesn't have to press through and soldier on as much as she was before]
[and in response to this, Catra bolts upright, fur bristled. she winces a little because despite the relief she received, moving suddenly still hurts, but. u know]
Nah. But it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. There's someone here who worries about the lot of us, after all.
[ ... ]
It's not a one time thing. If you're that bothered by it, think of yourself as my trial cat for my first attempt. You get healed, I figure out what the limits are until I can do it again.
Nah. Go tell her yourself. She'll probably be embarrassed and that'd be excellent to see, but it's not my place to be handing around your gratitudes, Kitkat.
[ adorable. ]
Mm. I wanted the device to use it with but... you don't need a conduit for this kind of stuff? Worth keeping in mind if you have something you want too.
Two different things. I guess this one works more like magic? But it's based off an Art. Arts need an ACRUS and an orbment to work, whereas magics natural, works differently, and limited to a small group of people.
[ he folds his arms. ]
ARCUS is a comms device. It's small and portable, and you can put orbments -- like... little marbles, I guess? -- in it to use different Arts, depending on which orbments you're using. Vio said I can buy it back if I want the feel to be the same, but it'd be a voucher I could use somewhere else, you know?
[ trails doesn't explain SHIT apart from when it does and it explains so much i forget the explanation and circle back to trails doesn't explain SHIT ]
Exactly my point. Save a voucher, use it on something else. Everyone's happy, especially me with more vouchers.
[ thank you for your knowledge and understanding in these trying times WHERE ARE YOUR VACUUMS EREBONIA, YOU HAVE WAR MECHS ]
The script was three vouchers, and the healing shenanigan was six. If I add a voucher each week I think I can make the healing more potent too, which if people are gonna keep disappearing like you did, might not be a bad thing to have up my sleeve.

What--?!

You're welcome.
Try not to bolt around, it's not going to have done a magical cure-all on you.

[SO CONFUSED??]
What did you do???

[she is GOING to worry about it??]
no subject
Maybe not who you're thinking of though, although I can see she's been worried too.

If it wasn't Adora, then--?
[who???]
And how did you even. . . ???
no subject
Amazing what they can do.

You're not going to tell me who asked, are you?
[. . . . . .]
How much did it cost?

Well. You can tell her I said. . . thanks, or whatever.
[TSUN TSUN]
Did you buy back some kind of special healing magic, then?
[does Crow have Tear]

Nah. Go tell her yourself. She'll probably be embarrassed and that'd be excellent to see, but it's not my place to be handing around your gratitudes, Kitkat.

Hey, I only asked you because you said it needed to be a secret! [:T] And I don't have any magic to buy back, so. . . I'll use them for other things.
no subject
[ hmm. ]
Think outside the box. Just because you don't have any magic to buy back doesn't mean you can't buy magic.
no subject
[what if she thanks Viola and Viola doesn't understand???]
[that second part, however, piques her interest]
How are they going to give me powers I've never had before?
no subject
[ hm. ]
By asking nicely? I normally have to use something to cast Arts, but here we are. Look Kitkat, no ARCUS. [ he waves his hands slightly. ]
no subject
. . . what's an Arts.
What's an ARCUS? You're using words I've never heard of in that context before.
no subject
... Ughhh. Arts are Arts. You cast them through the ACRUS. I can't really describe them any other way because that's the context?
But what I did I'd usually need something to help me do it. That thing being the ARCUS.
no subject
Was the whole healing thing you did an. . . "Arts?" Because that seems more like magic to me.
And the ARCUS is the conduit? The catalyst?
no subject

no subject
. . . okay. . .
[but the ARCUS, at least, mirrors technology she has back home, so. she knows what a comms device is!!!]
And yeah, that makes sense. If you can use the-- Art-- without the conduit, then why waste a voucher on a conduit, you know?
no subject
Exactly my point. Save a voucher, use it on something else. Everyone's happy, especially me with more vouchers.
no subject
Soooo. . . how much did the "script" and the "healing" thing cost you? That's two pretty big purchases.
no subject
