[for some unexplained reason, Catra is wearing a dunce hat today. just like the one Dimitri had. haha! weird!!]
[but she strolls through the auditorium rows of seating like she doesn't look like a totally moron with said hat nestled between her ears. and as she examines her new surroundings, she somehow manages to spot Crow doing Crow-like things]
[this is not Catra's first shared memory, but she still isn't used to it happening enough for it to not take her off guard. as soon as those images flash in her mind, she jerks back, eyes widening and ears flattening]
[but]
[the shock is at the memory being shared, not so much the memory itself. and that becomes pretty clear as her expression evenly smooths out, tail flicking behind her]
[. . . the reason she isn't too surprised is because he's talked about war with her before. she knows he's a soldier, of some sort-- just like she was when she was with the Horde. and sometimes. . . soldiers do what they have to do]
Revenge? I mean I gussied it up with valid shit like “his policies were ruining Erebonia”, and “his aggressive expansionism and attempts to shake the status quo too hard too soon were causing rifts in the country and people themselves” and all of that was true.
Bent my grandfather's arm behind his back when he orchestrated a series of events that lead to my home becoming part of the empire; kicking gramps out of his position as mayor of Jurai; made all the people in Jurai turn on him, and drained him of all his desire to keep going so when he got ill a few months later he just gave up and died.
Sort of, I guess. Something else keeps you alive, but no one would be able to tell you were an Immortal without like... touching their chest and feeling their heartbeat.
[sounds horrible!! she doesn't like it!! she's been so staunchly like NO DEAD PEOPLE DON'T COME BACK ever since Rupert brought back that daycare thing, and being told otherwise has to make her rethink some things that may or may not have happened to her in the cyoa]
[wowee!! Catra, in the meantime, has closed in on herself and is immediately jerking away from him, arms crossed over her torso in a self-hug. she looks. . . well]
week 3, monday
[but she strolls through the auditorium rows of seating like she doesn't look like a totally moron with said hat nestled between her ears. and as she examines her new surroundings, she somehow manages to spot Crow doing Crow-like things]
Hey, Snow.

Hey Kitka-- oh. I like the headgear, very stylish.

Just chilling. Can't go wrong with a theatre, can you?

[IMMEDIATELY SNATCHES THE HAT OFF HER HEAD]
Those sound like famous last words to me.

[. . . the reason she isn't too surprised is because he's talked about war with her before. she knows he's a soldier, of some sort-- just like she was when she was with the Horde. and sometimes. . . soldiers do what they have to do]
. . . who was that guy?
no subject
[ … ]
Probably don’t have to say this, but I wasn’t his biggest fan.
no subject
Yeah. Kind of gathered that.
[why else would you assassinate the guy, Crow!]
What were you trying to accomplish?
no subject
But it was pretty much just revenge.
no subject
Yeah?
What'd he do to you to deserve your vengeance?
no subject
no subject
Yeah, well. . . sounds like he deserved it.
. . . did you find it worth it?
no subject
no subject
What do you mean "if it stuck?"
no subject
no subject
A walking corpse??

[haha]
[let's move on!]
So what'd you do to him after he came back?
no subject
... ]
I wasn't really around to see it for a while. When I found out though, I just wanted my revenge again.
no subject
Did you get it again?
no subject
I'll let you know.
no subject
[now it's her turn to share a memory]
no subject
...
Huh.
