Oh. I mean, I wasn't really talking to him at first? It's just a habit I picked up years ago. We were just kind of talking about how bad the situation was and trying to figure out what to do about it - not that we could do much.

It could come in handy sometime, though. Since we can't text in trials, if we had another way to communicate that no one else could understand, maybe that could help us. We could talk out our theories or whatever without drawing suspicion or distracting the rest of the trial...
